June 2006 Workshop

We had another very busy and exciting night of bonsai. Members brought in their trees for styling advice and deciduous trees were repotted. Earlier that night members were treated to a powerpoint presentation of the 2007 AABC Convention which will be hosted by Bonsai Northwest. This presentation was shown at the 2006 AABC Convention and had the audience in awe.

We also had a clearance sale of pots and Brad Smith sold off some of his bonsai pots and stands that he brought over from Japan many years ago.

These were a couple of the raffle prizes on offer.

Pots, wire, tools and soil for sale.

Greg brought in this Cedar to work on.

Much advice was given about the new front.

Peter brought in his Swamp cypress.

He straightened the top half of the tree with a metal bar.

This tree was ready for a bonsai pot.

A new home and a new front.

John brought in this large trident maple to work on.

John attempts root grafts to improve the nebari.

Another trident maple being repotted.

This looks great in its new pot.
